Care Support

At the Birchwood House, we utilize a team concept to increase communication among the entire care team to effectively manage each resident’s care. The resident care team may include the resident’s spouse, extended family, trustees, nurses, neurologist, caregivers, pharmacist, friends, nutritionist, foundation association, speech therapist, physician, home health aide, physical therapist and occupational therapist. They all work together and unite for one common purpose: to act as the resident’s advocate and to provide a better quality of life for the resident.

Our standards of care are customized around each of our client’s unique physical, mental, emotional and social needs. We take pride in providing compassionate assisted care support services to all of our residents in order to help them live happy and productive lives.

Skilled Care

Birchwood House is supervised by a registered nurse who carefully monitors and assesses our residents for any change in condition in addition to managing medication regimens. Each care plan is personalized and designed to accommodate individual preferences and routines. A registered nurse is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Skilled health care services available on-site include:

  • Home IV infusion nursing
  • Collections for lab tests
